Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born February 20th in 2003. She is an American actor, singer and producer. She gained recognition in the late 2010s with her lead roles on the Disney television shows Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. After signing with Geffen and Interscope Records in 2020, Rodrigo released her debut single "Drivers License" that broke numerous records and became one of the top-selling songs of 2021, propelling her to mainstream fame. Following singles "Deja Vu", and "Good 4 U", Rodrigo released her debut solo studio album Sour (2021) with great commercial and critical success. She was awarded three Grammy Awards. In 2022 the 2022 Disney+ documentary called Olivia Rodrigo: Drive Home 2 U was released which chronicles her process of creating in the making of Sour. Rodrigo has been an Billboard Hot 100 Number-One Single and one Billboard 200 Number-One Album, and five multi-Platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. Other than other accolades, she has received an American Music Award seven Billboard Music Awards as well four MTV Video Music Awards. Time named her the 2021 Entertainers' Of The year. Billboard named it Woman of The Year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was the daughter of Jennifer Rodrigo, a school teacher, and Chris Rodrigo, a family therapist. She was born at Rancho Springs Medical Center, Murrieta, California on February 20 2003. [3][4][5][6] She lived and grew up in neighboring Temecula. Rodrigo is Filipino American. [7] Rodrigo's father is Filipino, while Rodrigo's mother is of German as well as Irish descent. [6][9][10] It has been stated by Rodrigo that her paternal greatgrandfather immigrated from the Philippines to America as an adolescent. Her family still follows Filipino customs and cuisines. Rodrigo began singing in kindergarten, and soon began playing the piano. [12] She took acting and singing classes from the age of six. Then she began performing in theater productions during elementary school. [5][1313 Rodrigo began playing guitar when she was 12 years old. 12 years old, she grew up listening to her parents' favorite alternative rock music, such as the groups No Doubt, Pearl Jam, the White Stripes, and Green Day. Rodrigo was inspired to write songs by the country music genre, specifically Taylor Swift. 14 years after landing her Bizaardvark role, she moved to Los Angeles.
